VPO Labs makes LensAid. This guide explains how to use your experience and conversation context during an interview.

LensAid is your real-time interview companion. It uses your CV, the role and the live conversation to suggest relevant answers during your interview. Getting the technical setup and role context ready beforehand gives you fewer things to manage when the call begins. [1]

Finish the Mac setup before the call

LensAid requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. Local transcription supports English and needs a one-time model download of approximately 600 MB. Leave time for that download before your interview; its duration depends on your connection. AI guidance also requires internet access. [1]

Download the ZIP, extract it and move LensAid into Applications. Open the app, prepare the transcription model and grant the microphone and screen/audio capture permissions requested by macOS. Follow the current help page for installation rather than leaving the setup until the interviewer joins. [1]

Match the CV to the job you are discussing

Use the CV version relevant to this application and the actual job description. Check the role title, seniority and main responsibilities. A description for a different vacancy can introduce context that does not belong in this conversation.

Read the CV for short phrases that hide useful detail: “improved performance”, “led a project” or “worked with stakeholders”. Identify what you personally did, the decision you made and the result you can support. Keep team achievements distinct from your own contribution.

Keep the role and your evidence connected

Choose the experience most relevant to the responsibilities in the job description. For a backend role, that might be a reliability decision; for a management role, it might be how you resolved competing priorities. Specific context gives the conversation somewhere concrete to start.

If a result was not measured, describe what changed without adding an estimate. If the team made the decision together, retain that distinction. Your context should represent the experience you can explain when the interviewer asks a follow-up.

Check your balance and connection

LensAid uses a reusable credit code. Add your code in Credits and check the remaining balance before the call. Re-entering a code restores access to its remaining balance; it does not refill it. You do not need a separate application account or your own API key. [1]

One credit covers one live minute. Preparation and review actions have separate prices, shown in the app and on the pricing page. Check those prices against the work you plan to do. [1][2]

Let the live conversation provide the next question

During the interview, LensAid transcribes the conversation and suggests answers using the CV, role and conversation context. That context continues into follow-up questions. After the call, the transcript and recap let you revisit the discussion. [1]

Your final checklist is short: compatible Mac, transcription model ready, requested permissions configured, internet connected, relevant CV and role context, and remaining credits checked.
